St. John the Evangelist School

Mission Statement

St. John the Evangelist School is a Roman Catholic, Pre School through Grade 8, parish school under the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. In a community of faith and with the Gospel values of Jesus Christ, our faculty and staff work together to develop each child to the best of her/his ability, spiritually, academically, artistically, socially and physically in a nurturing environment that promotes living faith, academic excellence, leadership, and service within the Church community and society.

The St. John's Parent/Teacher Partnership
"Enriching Your Child's School Experience Through Parent Leadership and Volunteerism"

The St. John's Parent/Teacher Partnership (PTP) is the parent-teacher organization for St. John's school. If you have a child attending St. John's you are a member! The PTP Executive Board meets monthly to plan events. All meetings are open to any parent; please contact the president as a courtesy to let us know we will have guests. All parents are welcome and encouraged to come. 

PTP Purpose

  • To promote open communication among the parents, teachers, and administration. 

  • To provide parents and teachers with information to aid in all aspects of education, growth, and development. 

  • To promote good will and cooperation between and among parents, faculty, administration, school board, and the parish of St. John the Evangelist. 

  • To direct and coordinate parental support to St. John's school through assistance activities, social functions, and fund raisers. 

  • To foster political action of parents as advocates regarding legislation that affects Catholic Schools as well as the lives of students and parents.
